BaliMed General Hospital implemented a desktop-based EMR on February 4, 2019, and switched vendors on February 5, 2024, to implement a web-based EMR. All specialist polyclinics simultaneously used the web-based EMR. However, an interview with the Head of the Medical Records Unit revealed that no evaluation of its effectiveness had been conducted during the implementation of the web-based EMR. The potential impacts of this lack of evaluation include data inaccuracy, slow service processes, and medical errors. This study used the PIECES method to assess the effectiveness of the EMR implementation. This method encompasses the dimensions of performance, information, economics, control, efficiency, and service. The study used quantitative research. The results of this study were based on the performance dimension, namely achieving highly effective results; the information dimension, namely achieving highly effective results; the economic dimension, namely achieving effective results; the control dimension, namely achieving effective results; the efficiency dimension, namely achieving effective results; and the service dimension, namely achieving highly effective results. This demonstrates that the system is capable of meeting user needs well.
