Pelatihan Akupresur terhadap Produksi Air Susu Ibu pada Ibu Post Partum

Breast milk (ASI) is the best food that a mother can give to her newborn baby. Factors causing irregular milk production include the mother's health status, frequency and duration of breastfeeding, mother's nutrition and fluid intake, baby sucking, and mother's psychological factors. One effort that can be made to stimulate the hormones prolactin and oxytocin in mothers after giving birth is by doing acupressure. The aim of this community service is to increase mothers' knowledge about acupressure in order to facilitate breast milk production. Postpartum mothers' knowledge about acupressure to increase breast milk production is still lacking. This was found in Teruna Sari Hamlet, Dauh Puri Kaja Village. The role of health workers, namely midwives, is needed to provide education and training regarding the benefits of acupressure. This training was carried out in Teruna Sari Hamlet, Dauh Puri Kaja Village using poster media. The targets for this community service are 15 postpartum mothers. Conclusion: This activity went smoothly and well. After being given education and training about acupressure to increase breast milk production at the SI 1 and ST 36 lactation acupoints, it was discovered that participants understood and postpartum mothers were enthusiastic about practicing it both during training and at home. Suggestions from this service: The midwife and the posyandu cadres who are used as a place to carry out the service said they would introduce acupressure to postpartum mothers with the aim of increasing breast milk production.
